Sweet Sounds Downtown Music Festival 2019

Formerly known as the “Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival”, organizers decided to update the name for this year’s festival to communicate its inclusiveness of all genres of music. In addition to jazz, local musicians play blues, rock, country, indie-folk, Motown, bluegrass, funk, R & B, pop, and Big Band classics.

Each week brings a new act to the four separate stages set up around the downtown Westfield area. Start off with a little jazz on one stage. Then move on to another stage for some country tunes. Enjoy funk/blues fusion at another stage. Then finish up with a bit of Latin jazz for dessert. Feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets to make yourself comfortable while you listen.

2019 Festival Line-up

Four separate stages. Four separate acts. Nine weeks in a row. Stage A will be set up at 137 Central Ave. Stage B goes up on the corner of North and Elm. Visit Stage C at 170 Elm St. Or watch musical acts perform on Stage D in Foundation Park.

The festival kicks off on Tuesday, July 2nd with country crooner Nikki Briar and the Sweet Briar Band on Quimby St. In addition to great music, Nikki teaches her audience to line dance.
