In exactly two weeks from today, we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Have you made any plans on how to spend it with your sweetie? Have you even started looking around? If you need help determining how to show your special someone just how much they mean to you, consider a few of these Downtown Westfield Valentine’s Day ideas.
Downtown Westfield Valentine’s Day Ideas
Pampering Your Love
Women’s clothing shop J.McLaughlin offers a special beauty event at their downtown Westfield store called Bubbles, Bites, and Chantecaille Beauty Services. At 10 am on Valentine’s Day, ladies enjoy hors d’oeuvres served with glasses of champagne while getting their makeup done. That’s one fabulous way to start the day. Or, if you’d prefer, choose an appointment on the 13th for a head start on that special day. Make your reservation today by calling the store at (908) 588-7062 or sending an email.
Feeding Your Love
After pampering your lovely lady, make plans to wine and dine at the James Ward Mansion. Farinolio Cucina caters a very special San Valentino Italian dinner and cooking class. Beginning at 6:45 pm, Chef Laura Orlando shows you how to make your own gnocchi from scratch. Sip prosecco while she also prepares a wonderful authentic Italian dinner of poached salmon, braised beef, and antipasto misto to accompany the gnocchi (served with shrimp). Top things off with a delicious tiramisu for dessert.
Feel free to bring a bottle of wine with you. May I recommend something from Nosvino, perhaps? Seating is limited. So, I highly suggest you make your reservation today.
Entertaining Your Love
Finally, if you opt for an early dinner, you can catch open mic night at Boxwood Coffee for nightcap of coffee and live entertainment. Admission is free. Open mic starts at 7:30 pm.
Other Ideas for Your Westfield Valentine’s Day
Looking for some other way to show your significant other how much you love them? Flowers from The Green Room, chocolate from The Chocolate Bar, and a nice bottle of champagne from Nosvino always hit the spot. Make a dinner reservation at one of the dozens of local restaurants in the downtown Westfield area. I suggest you do that now, though. Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday and always tends to be busy anyway. Reservations are sure to fill up quickly. Need something sparkly? Visit Adler’s, Lord & Taylor or Robert Anthony (just to name a few). Happy Valentine’s Day to all.
